Meat not ok; women as meat ok

The latest Pamela Anderson PETA ad elicited all the usual “if we weren’t meant to eat animals then why are they made out of meat” comments on News.com.au, but one from Geordie of London is so good it’s worth repeating here:

So long as fluffy is fine it seems PETA has no problems treating women like a piece of meat…

It’s an interesting position PETA has taken. All their ad campaigns feature nude or almost nude women. All their activism is by (mainly) women who are nude or almost nude. It’s hard to argue that animals shouldn’t be viewed as objects to be eaten when you treat women as objects to be ogled.
